Succession, Restructuring and Liability Law

Whether you’re an SME, a family business, or a publicly traded company: succession planning, corporate crises, and liability issues are among the most demanding challenges in everyday business life. Decisions that are inadequately planned from a legal standpoint or made too late can have far-reaching economic and personal consequences.  This module will teach you the essential legal fundamentals of succession planning, restructuring, insolvency, and personal liability.  You will learn how family law, inheritance law, and corporate law interact in the context of business succession and what legal tools are available in crisis situations.  Another key focus is on the civil, administrative, and criminal liability of board members and executives.  You will learn to identify legal risks early on, accurately assess the implications of business decisions, and take timely action.

The module is offered on-site. Subject to change.
