Up-to-date Management Knowhow for Lawyers

The business expertise and information required by legal departments and law firms take centre stage on the Management for the Legal Profession (MLP-HSG) programme. The aim is to prepare lawyers fully for taking on management responsibilities in companies. On completion of the MLP-HSG, participants will have acquired broad-ranging management knowhow, understand the market requirements of their customers and be in a position to adapt expertly their strategy.

The Management for the Legal Profession (MLP-HSG) programme cooperates with a number of partner organisations: the Association of Corporate Counsel Europe, the in-house lawyers’ section of the German Bar Association, the Swiss Bar Association, the Swiss Association of Compliance Officers and Vereinigung Schweizerischer Unternehmensjuristen (association of Swiss in-house legal experts).

Members of any of these organisations receive a ten percent discount on MLP-HSG course fees (cannot be combined with any other discount). Please supply proof of membership with your application. This discount does not apply to single modules fees.

MLP-HSG Module Overview

The part-time programme Management for the Legal Profession (MLP-HSG) comprises 6 modules. You choose three modules for the certificate level (CAS). You have the option of completing two CAS MLP. For the Diploma (DAS) level, you select the six MLP modules plus two CAS of your choice from the Law & Management programme.

Good to know

As a member of the Alumni Association Law & Management or a member of HSG Alumni as well as a member of one of our cooperation partners, you will receive a discount of ten percent (not cumulative).

Course fees include materials, break refreshments and lunch. Participants must pay the additional costs for other meals, travel and accommodation.

The Executive Master can also be combined with the Certified Global Negotiator CAS. In this case, the DAS costs CHF 43’000 and the Executive Master CHF 66’000.
