You will gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainability and ESG by learning about the key challenges of the so-called control or “assurance” functions (e.g. risk management, compliance, legal, security, quality control and internal audit) and how they interact.

Contents
- Understand cross-functional challenges of relevant functions (esp. risk management, compliance, legal, security, quality control, internal audit) and how they work together for the common benefit of all and for a better ESG positioning of the company.
- Increase sensitivity to the topic at all levels and achieve a confident approach to the topic internally and externally with various stakeholders
- Understand applicable laws, regulations and rules and challenges of ESG court processes related to business, financial and reputational risks
- Understand the role of compliance and compliance officers and be able to link them to a company’s culture, ethics and incentive system
- Understand the role of leadership, governance and compliance in implementing ESG measures
- Know why corporate governance and management processes are important in addressing ESG risks
- Know and be able to identify ESG risks to companies and how that fits into an existing risk management process
- Understand the importance of ESG reporting for governance bodies and the impact of ESG ratings on company value
- More generally, gain an understanding of what environmental and social means and the impact of climate change on companies
Fees
CHF 4,600
The course costs include training materials, break refreshments and lunch. Travel, accommodation and other catering costs are to be covered by the participants.
Target Groups
This program is designed for executives in senior or middle management positions, particularly in the “second and third line of defense” (“line of defense”), and for all other leaders and interested parties who want to learn the practical concepts and definitions to make strategic decisions and develop a robust ESG strategy for a company.
