The module also addresses:

• the identification of the relevant stakeholders within the organisation who contribute towards data protection, and the definition of the DPO’s role and responsibility;
• the establishment of a data protection management system and a data protection strategy in the company;
• the establishment of a data protection culture in which data protection is accorded priority rather than being conceived of as a regulatory burden;
• appraisals of the consequences of data protection;
• a directory of processing activities;
• dealing with data protection infringements, reporting to authorities and crisis management;
• the application of time-tested procedures for the safeguard of the data protection rights of the people concerned;
• data transmission from Switzerland/the EU to the USA and other countries, as well as data transmission within the group;
• risk management in the case of outsourcing to third parties.
