Data protection questions have become a regular liability issue on the executive boards of both SMEs<\/strong> and big corporations. It is important to understand this topic in a comprehensive and integrated manner not only from a legal<\/strong> perspective but also from an organisational<\/strong> and technological<\/strong> angle in order to be able to establish an appropriate data protection governance and thus to guarantee data protection<\/strong> and data security (cf. modules).<\/p>\n

Owing to continuous technical progress and social change as a reaction to digital transformation<\/strong>, the protection of personal data<\/strong> is now a serious challenge worldwide. In combination with individual people\u2019s increased demands in connection with data protection, many Swiss companies regard appropriate data protection not only as a regulatory burden, but also as a competitive advantage<\/strong>. The rapid technological development of artificial intelligence and the emergence of laws on its responsible application are creating additional challenges for people and bodies in charge of data protection, which will also be treated in this executive education course.<\/p>\n
