Data Security
Participants will learn to understand and engage critically with their practical knowledge and handling of data and cybersecurity. They are equipped with mechanisms for implementing security principles by becoming familiar with the fundamentals of cybersecurity and related technical measures, and will be encouraged to engage with their own role in privacy and security matters as a leader in their workplace.
The fourth module of the DPO-HSG programme is an interactive three-day session.

The module also covers:
- The fundamentals of cybersecurity, including concepts (NIST Cybersecurity Framework) and technical and organisational measures
Security by design and by default, data ethics and confidentiality - Simulated data breaches and related mitigation plans
- Dominance and data: discovering digital markets and their implications for data protection
- Relevance of leadership in establishing privacy culture, data protection awareness and training
Fees
CHF 2,520
Course fees include materials, break refreshments and lunch. Participants must pay the additional costs for other meals, travel and accommodation.
Target Groups
Building on the first foundational module, the following modules delve deeper into the subject. The modules are aimed at employees in the private sector or public administration who wish to acquire practical, interdisciplinary, specialist knowledge in the area of data protection. In particular, the modules address DPO candidates, employees of compliance and legal departments, data protection practitioners, auditors, IT managers and specialists, information security officers, IT auditors and anyone else who works in the fields of law or technology. This includes those responsible for processing personal data and complying with data protection laws and regulations.
