During the module week “Financial Management”, Dirk Sch\u00e4fer welcomed a new CFO every day to a virtual dialogue with the participants. In short nuggets of 30 minutes, the CFOs presented their views on the current challenges in the context of the financial management of their company. It became clear that the Corona crisis is also having an impact here. Course participants got to know this way four different industries (finance: SIX; retail: Dosenbach-Ochsner; luxury: IWC Schaffhausen; mechanical engineering: B\u00fchler AG). This innovative format also promoted networking opportunities for the participants. Only three slides could be presented, and one question was put to the audience, which was then discussed in plenary. This encouraged concrete discussion of current topics in the field of continuing education in a new format. There was a lot of added value for the students – and the guest – and the feedback was excellent.<\/p>\n
Dirk Sch\u00e4fer said: \u201cA virtue was made of necessity and an added value was conveyed in continuing education that had previously gone undetected. Before the pandemic, such action was much more cumbersome and was planned more in advance – due to the travel times that had to be anchored in the calendar.\u201d Dirk Sch\u00e4fer will continue this format, including face-to-face events. Furthermore, he still held that \u201cOnline learning events should thus not be seen as an alternative or ‘second-best’ solution, but as a platform with its charm.\u201d<\/p>\n
